Deanna Harger, Project Manager / Intern Architect
Deanna has logged 10 years of professional experience working in the architectural field, after earning a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University Of Oregon. She believes in a team-oriented approach, from design through construction, and is passionate about design that respectfully expresses the Jackson Hole region’s unique people, wildlife and environment. She moved to Jackson, Wyoming in 2000 and has worked with Hawtin Jorgensen Architects for seven years. “The beginning of the project is very important,” Deanna says, “because at that time everything is on the table. It’s great if you can get to know the person you are working with and explore what inspires them about their building site.” To that end, Deanna focuses on listening to what her clients say, honoring their expectations and meeting the needs and different desires of their families. She has managed high-end residential and commercial projects like Teton Valley Ranch and the St. John’s Medical Center expansion. One of Deanna’s first jobs was for Lips Propellers, located inside the Lockheed Shipyard in Seattle. Her father worked the shipyards for most of his life, and his love of the industry inspired his daughter. “I enjoy watching all the pieces and parts of a project finally come together in one beautiful result.” She takes pride in the fact that Hawtin Jorgensen Architects takes on projects that range from very high-end to very intimate, and appreciates that this firm allows her to participate in all aspects of the business. In finding Jackson Hole, Deanna realized she had hit the jackpot: a vibrant and busy architectural community in an area of astounding beauty. She is thankful to be able to raise her children in this area and enjoy its many benefits with her husband. Their Airstream trailer allows them the freedom to roam various parks to camp and enjoy cross-country and skate skiing and the occasional snowshoe trek.
